Hungarian

Whew! So far so good. Though we know there's tons to be done, it feels nice to have most of the big things crossed off the list.
Next we have to find someone who is interested in to spend a little time on finding out how to make our silver engagement ring in gold.
Which looks quite impossible as we tried several jewellers specialised in gold. None of them wanted to give it a go. :(
The closer we get to the Big Day the more anxious we get. How did time slip by so quickly, and how the heck did this become such a huge event??
All we wanted was a nice little family affair with about 30 guests. Now we're up to 104 people, 4 hotels to accommodate them! 4!!!
Don't get us wrong, we love that we have so many friends and relations.

We laid down a few goals for the ceremony. So keep to it! :)

----------------------- o o o -----------------------

1. Involvement of the guests.

The guests will be there for a reason, and no, not just to eat, drink, and be merry.
We invited them because we wanted witnesses to our declaration and to enlist their support in making this marriage work.

----------------------- o o o -----------------------

2. Entertainment of the guests.

The above doesn't mean we didn't want to throw a good party. ;-) Yummy food, drinks, and cake were priorities.

----------------------- o o o -----------------------

3. Meeting/merging of the families and friends.

Both sets of family and friends are important to us, and they are now linked pretty firmly.

----------------------- o o o -----------------------

4. We want to focus our money more on entertaining our guests and less on satisfying tradition. So be prepared... :)

5. We want it to be OUR wedding.

THE PROGRAM

The wedding ceremony will start at 5 pm at the Polgarmesteri Hivatal (Council Hall), Kossuth tér 9., Szolnok, 5000 - Don't be late! :)
The ceremony will be around half an hour long (short?) and afterwards we want to take a few photos (weather permitting)
on the steps of the Szigligeti theatre (just a few metres away).
Please plan to park near the theatre on the Tancsics M. ut or on the Sohaz utca as we will leave for the reception from there.

We'll take a circle in the city to show that we are married now, everyone needs to push the horns as hard as they can!

There's no dress code so if you prefer jeans feel free to wear those.
Although you need to be aware that it is gonna be the middle of August, the hottest and driest month in Hungary. Advisable to dress lightly!

And finally about presents.

Of course we would be really happy for anything you want to give us, although please take it into consideration that the Wedding will be in Hungary from where we need to fly back with an allowance of only 23 kg luggage! :)
Also we've been together for 10 years now, living together for 7 years. As you can imagine our home is fully set up.

To be honest the most useful present would be any kind of help towards our honeymoon (hopefully Greece).

If you prefer to give us anything else please let our friend - Adel Kovacs (she's organising the gift-list) - know so we can avoid situations such as ending up with 5 toaster and 4 coffee-maker... :) Her mobile is 07774574707 and her e-mail is: adel@lycos.co.uk. Thanks.

See you in August.

Love

Marcsi and Imtsi
